The MOHACHAI was taken over by us in April 2006 and underwent a significant renovation and make-over before the soft opening in November 2006. Since that time, we have been constantly working to make the MOHACHAI a perfect place for both, the budget-travelers as well as those individual travelers, who prefer more comfort in their rooms. We have rooms for EVERY BUDGET!
Cambodia’s nicest, white beaches are in Sihanoukville!
Tropical summer-winds, fantastic surfing & sailing, best diving & snorkeling sites, national park-tours by boat, motorbike or hiking, (Though, we do not recommend the motorbikes for bird-watching trips!) all are part of Cambodias pristine charme.
Just a 2 ½ hour car ride from Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia, it is also the gateway for travelers coming in from or going to Laos, Thailand and Vietnam, arriving over land, by boat or by air. The lush, green peninsula, with its capitol Sihanouk-Ville (or Kompong Som as it is often called by the locals) is the newest holiday destination.
Early birds & beach-dwellers meet the party–goers for an early or late breakfast at sunrise, and probably meet again at sunset for a wonderful seafood dinner before setting out for a first or last cocktail on a breezy terrace or in one of the beach bars.
With the MOHACHAI being ideally located just 80m from Sihanoukville’s SERENDIPITY BEACH, (Otres-Beach to the left and Independence and Victory beach to the right) on both sides of the town, the Serendipity & Ocheuteal Beach with it’s shallow and wonderful clear, warm water marks the center point of all happenings and beach live.
You are noise-wise away from the famous nightlife of the many funky Beach Bars, but you only need a 1 min walk to the beach to either enjoy a plunge in the ocean or dive into the life of music, beach-parties, fireworks etc. The MOHACHAI is definitely the best place for those, who want to have the choice between relaxed quietness or a busy beach-life among mostly young people in South East Asia. A 5 min ride will bring you to downtown Sihanoukville where you can visit the local market and do your shopping.
